So, we took off and went to Children's Hospital yesterday. It's an amazing place, everyone was so great to us and we were in and out in no time. The endocrinologist doesn't think that there are any major issues with Camden as most kids with any "major" medical issue that can have an effect like low blood sugar, do not develop properly. She said he looks super healthy and acts exactly how any 14 month old boy should. I was so relieved at that. We did have to have some blood work done and she was trying to get some tests tacked on to the blood work from the hospital, but that didn't work out. So, if/when he goes low again, we have an order from her (a big ole long list) of all the lab work that needs to be done. For now, we check his blood sugar every morning and if we feel like he's acting funny we can check it whenever just for reassurance. We got a fancy glucometer now. Ha, we had to get the prescription filled for those stinking little strips. 100 bucks! Can you believe that? And we have good insurance! Ouch! I feel for anyone who has to buy those on a regular basis. That's the update on Cam and I'll keep you all posted if anything else goes on. I'm headed to Lopez tomorrow morning alone for the night because they still don't think Cam should be that far from a "respectable" medical facility. Family reunion by myself...should be interesting.
